Dr. Winkle received his medical degree at the University of Southern California. He completed his internship and residency programs in Internal Medicine at the University of California, Irvine. Then he completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a certified principal invesitgator (CPI) and board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Winkle is highly skilled in all endoscopic procedures including ERCP, colonoscopy, and upper Endoscopy. He specializes in treating gastrointestinal and liver diseases, and he continues to see patients in his private practice.
